The DP Saddlery Flex Fit Canyon is a fantastic, compact Western saddle built on our semi-flexible Flex-Fit tree. It features our unique continuously adjustable gullet width, meaning you can dynamically change the fit from narrow to extra-wide using a simple Allen wrench as your horse changes shape or muscling throughout the season.
This saddle is a brilliant problem-solver for horses that are notoriously difficult to fit in traditional, rigid western tack.
- The Broad and Round: It is specifically designed to be comfortable for wide-backed horses.
- The Short-Backed: The skirt length on the Canyon is an incredibly compact 23.5 inches. If you have a short-backed Quarter Horse, Morgan, Haflinger, cob, or Arabian, this short skirt is an absolute non-negotiable feature to protect their 18th rib and lumbar area from painful pressure and bridging.
- The Trail & Pleasure Rider: This saddle is geared heavily toward trail and general riding. It gives you the security and aesthetics of a traditional Western saddle, but the flexible tree lets you actually feel your horse’s back.
