- bit developed for the correction and training of horses that go strongly against the hand
- the bit adapts to the contours of the horse’s mouth when the horse is calm and the reins are not held
- however, if the horse goes against the hand, it becomes a bar
- the learning effect is that the horse learns that the strong pressure of the bar is uncomfortable and the bit gives way as soon as the horse lets go
- the small thickness of 12 mm leaves enough room for the second curb bit, even in small horse mouths
- as the bit has a normal to sharp effect, its use is only recommended for experienced riders
