• the hanging cheek bit is a variant of the eggbutt snaffle with smaller eyelets attached above the rings
• the cheekpiece is strapped to the upper eyelets and the reins are strapped to the eggbutt snaffle
• this creates a certain leverage effect by the bit
• mouthpiece made from characteristic blue Sweet Iron
• the material develops a sweet-tasting surface rust on contact with moisture
• this naturally stimulates the horse’s saliva production and increases the acceptance of the bit
• in addition, the horse shoots more and the contact is improved
• Sweet Iron bits are suitable for all horses
• single jointed mouthpiece with one joint
• exerts only little pressure on the tongue
• mainly acts on the interdental spaces and the edges of the tongue

Note: If not used, a thin, orange-brown rust layer develops on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and does not represent a quality defect.
