The breast protector BIB by Kentucky Horsewear is made of 100 percent polyester and has a waterproof coating to optimally protect the horse from pressure points even on rainy days. The primary purpose of the breast protector is to equalize the pressure exerted by the rug on the horse’s chest and withers. The side of the BIB that rests against the horse’s chest is lined with artificial rabbit fur to increase the horse’s comfort and reduce the risk of chafing. The guard is conveniently and easily attached by folding it over the blanket on the horse’s chest so that the curve of the BIB faces the horse’s neck. The protector can be combined with all types of rugs.
