Stübben Steeltec Double Broken Loose Ring Bit Level 1
- the loose ring bit has a mouthpiece made of sweet copper and offers a gentle contact
- the double jointed mouthpiece distributes the pressure evenly on the tongue and bars and thus promotes relaxation and acceptance
- any bit can cause pain if it is used roughly or improperly
- even the wrong size can be painful for the horse

Care instructions
- clean saliva residue under running water after every ride
- dry with a towel
Size guide
- an already well-fitting bit can be used as a reference for size selection
- alternatively, the width of the horse’s mouth can be measured, e.g. with a bit ruler or a soft string
- the measurement is taken at the position in the mouth where the bit will later be positioned
- the ends are marked and the distance is then measured
- the bit width should be chosen so that the rings are just outside or slightly above the corners of the mouth
- if the bit is too narrow, there will be pressure on the mouth
- if the bit is too wide, it can move sideways
- in the case of bits with freely movable rings, there should be approx. 1 cm clearance on one side so that the rings can turn freely without damaging the lips
