Care instructions
- to ensure that the lambskin retains its quality and breathability, the padding should be washed regularly
- if used 2-3 times a week: wash approximately every 2 weeks
- if the lambskin is heavily soaked with sweat, it should be cleaned immediately after use, as ammonia in sweat damages the material
- tip: as lambskin absorbs a lot of moisture, only use the padding when it is completely dry – if there is not enough time to dry it between rides, we recommend alternating between several pieces!
Washing & drying
- machine washable at 30 °C (normal spin programme)
- select the ‘water plus’ option, or add 3-4 litres of water to the detergent compartment after approx. 10 minutes
- use MELP special detergent from Mattes, which cares for lambskin and leather
- do not use fabric softener or bleach
- do not overload the washing machine
- remove upholstery immediately after washing
- drying in the tumble dryer at a maximum of 30 °C (cold/cool setting) possible
- alternatively: air dry in the shade
- do not use direct heat or sunlight (e.g. radiators)
Storing the lambskin upholstery
- do not store in plastic bags
- store in a dry, shady place
- for longer storage: wash beforehand and allow to dry completely
- moth protection recommended for storage
