Stübben Steeltec Double Broken Baucher Bit
- the upper part of a baucher bit is similar to a Pelham, but there is a significant difference in its effect
- similar to a pelham, the cheek piece of the caveson is attached to the small upper ring
- however, the reins do not work via a lever, i.e. via a third ring, as with a Pelham, but are buckled directly to the snaffle ring
- this type of buckling exerts hardly any pressure on the poll and is therefore ideal for horses that react sensitively to poll pressure
- this type of bit also lies particularly quietly in the mouth, which helps horses that tend to carry their head very high to lower it and become lighter in the poll
- the sweet copper material ensures a high level of acceptance and at the same time stimulates chewing activity, which increases the horse’s well-being
Note: Any bit can cause pain if it is used roughly or improperly. The wrong size can also be painful for the horse.
