- this double broken olive-head bit features a double broken mouthpiece made of Sweet Copper, which distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and cheeks
- the sturdy olive-head rings prevent pinching of the corners of the mouth and keep the bit from shifting sideways
Note: Any bit can cause pain if used roughly or improperly. The wrong size can also be painful for the horse.

Size guide
- a well-fitting bit can be used as a reference for choosing the correct size
- alternatively, measure the mouth width: Place a bit gauge or soft string in the mouth at the designated spot, mark the ends, and measure the distance
- select the bit width so that the rings lie just outside or slightly beyond the corners of the mouth
- if the bit is too tight, pressure is created; if the bit is too wide, it can shift sideways
- for bits with freely moving rings, there should be about 1 cm of clearance on one side
- this allows the rings to rotate freely without pinching the lips
